The following two pictures were taken the same day from our trip in June 2007. It is in Baja Sur. There are paintings in the top picture just not
visible in the picture.

I was thinking that it looks similar to the road to San Francisco de La Sierras, and the caves up there. I have never been on the route that DavidK
mentioned.

In picture #2 they obviously stopped to look down on San Pedro canyon. Not sure why the guy in the white T-shirt is facing away from it.

TacateRay is correct. The road is no longer open where the top pix is, wiped out by the hurricane rains. The bottom pix the road does not go thru due
to the same hurricane rains.

Here is a picture from across the arroyo looking at the cave. This was taken in April 2014. This is just east of Rancho San Juan de La Pilas. The
ranch owner took me and several others to the cave to view the paintings. There is a road from El Patrocino that bypasses the ranch and joins the old
road further east and it goes to Ranch Las Tunas closest to Mission Guadalupe. However that road past Las Tunas is only passable by horses and
motorcycles.

In Picture #2 we stopped to see if it was clear enough to see the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. In Patti and Tom Higginbotham's book Backroad
Baja they claim you can see both from there.
