Correct answer Sculpin!
The cemetery has greatly grown as it is also used by the San Quintin residents.

Ya know, I new I new where this was, but was afraid to say 'cause I was about 10 yrs. old whan I was there. I have a photo that I took when I was
first learning to use a camera. If I can find it I will post it. Hopefully!!!! I have a better chance of finding the photo than get it on here, but
I will try. By the way, thanks for sharing that photo because for the last 10 yrs. or more I have been trying to figure out where my late uncle
Harold's house was. Now I know.

Where is Uncle Harold's house?
I was 8 when I first saw the cemetery... My mom loved visiting old graves, and on our trip to the tip of Baja in 1966 we read about the cemetery in
the Lower California Guidebook... We stayed at Ernesto's or the Old Mill the previous night and drove south along the shore and found the site... We
would not be staying in a room again for many days that it took to get to Mulege from San Quintin (our next motel stay)

David,
My favorite uncle Harold died when I was in my teens. But all I can remember was that the ocean was on the left side driving down a dirt road of a
penninsila. When you got to the end of the road, his house was the last one. It was a light blue color and you had to walk down many stairs to get
to the beach. His house was up on top. On the cliff looking up from the beach, the were thousands of of big shells about the size of a womans fist.
White and spiral to a point. I was very young so the cliff might not be quite as tall as I remember it. At first I thought it was in S.F., but when
we went there, there was nothing familiar. So I got out some old photos and found out it was indede in S.Q. This fall when we have our 2 week
vacation, we are going to go there and try and find it. Probably will look total different, but I do remember lots of different land marks. When I
get this computer set up the way I used to have it, I will get the photos I took and get them on here, so I can post them. Any of this sound familiar
to you?

No, not me... it sounds like it might be across the bay from the Old Mill (on the San Quintin peninsula)??
You may ask Dave & Juanita of Rancho Cielito Lindo... who are 'Porky Pig' here on Nomad... They sent in photos of all that was left of the former
Santa Maria Sky Ranch... Which was the major place to stay in the area in the 1960's. Use the search feature on Nomad and type it in, to see the
post... I started the thread with a photo of Erle Stanley Gardner walking out of one of the rooms... the roof was covered with clam shells.
