Can anyone tell me the driving distance from San Diego to Puertecitos?
Thanks,

About 300 miles via Calexico: San Diego to Calexico 120, Calexico to San Felipe 125, San Felipe to Puertecitos 55.
A tiny bit shorter via Ensenada, but will take you longer with the cross town traffic and winding road.

Approx. 120 SD to Calexico, 120 more to San Felipe, then about 65 to Puertecitos. We made the trip to Gonzaga Bay last spring and the road is in the
best condition in years. Enjoy

From BajaRob (and hidden in an attempt to merge a couple of threads... sorry Rob):

Big Al, distance is not the issue.
Take the back road to Tecate, then across to Mexicali over the Rumorosa Grade. It is really spectacular, much more interesting than I-8. You can
then angle across Mexicali and down to San Felipe and onward.
On the way back take off North of San Felipe and come up through Valle de Trinidad past Ojos Negros and into Ensenada.
This "big circle" will give you a real flavor of Baja. If you wish, continue on back to Tecate from Ensenada, instead of the coastal road.
Be different, see Baja!
