Bajanomad Chippy, his wife and daughter are here for the first time! It has been so much fun to touch bases with them. If there were no virus, obviously I would and could do more but we ventured out to the varanda of the beach restaurant for dinner last night.

Here they are enjoying lobster and more! You really cannot beat the price at $250 pesos. And of course, the margaritas are delicious.

Here are my shrimp tacos after I had already split the dish with Les.

Today, they came by with so many goodies!!!!

whoaaaaaaaaaaa

A laptop - which will go to the ranch girl who just arrived to start highschool!

A cell phone!!!! And just this morning, one of the college students (Ramiro) wrote to say his cell phone had broken down so he hadn't seen my whatsapp messages! A student who already graduated (Alen) happened to stop by and let me know that he is on his way to La Paz tomorrow.

2 plus 2 is 4 and Alen is taking the phone to Ramiro!!

Chippy's wife teaches English and she brought me all these books!! I will share with the student teachers and with Valeria, a young lady who wants to start teaching in the elementary school.

Chippys daughter donated a used ipad - I think I will save this ... maybe a graduation present? Maybe a raffle at a xmas party?

So fun to meet up and put faces to names. Chippy and family also got to meet my Mom and Les and even Frida and Boots!

Thanks Gus, it is wonderful to have you stay at the hotel and I hope you enjoyed the peace and quiet, the ocean view!

Just a week ago, we had a FULL HOUSE and they hired a full on band to play music for hours and hours, starting at 10 pm! At 11:30 I had to go rescue my Mom, who was unable to sleep. It was a good band with excellent music but they did not listen to Les who asked them to stop. Too much beer to really push the issue LOL

The guests had rented to whole house so they all partied together!

Gus and family joined us for breakfast at Antojito's Juanita after Les talked up the huevos rancheros!

It was a foggy morning today.

View to the left, right and center (surfers out there!)

Here we are! For the first time ever, the waiter offered to set up tables, in the shade, right in front of the ocean. Cool and safe, it was great.

I must be honest, I love love love having folks visit us and sharing our neck of the woods. Could one of you come every week????

I saw that "Antojitos" restaurant when I visited you a couple of years ago. Where else could you get away with building a second floor deck around a utility pole?

Power lines overhead, telephone lines that double as a cloths line.....only in Mexico!

We had the huevos ranchero at Juanita last year... awesome!!

Looks like I need to bring the little esposa down for a visit,
we were in a hurry last time through, drive right past you.... sorry.

Your mom looks great.
How old, if I may ask
We lost my mom at 94 recently....
She had broken a hip..... playing tag with my niece
Tough old Norwegian!!

Oh, I am so sorry you lost your Mom. One of my best friends in high school was Norwegian and I took one semester of Norwegian in college. One of the most beautiful languages, in my opinion.

Not only that, another friend of ours was Ingeborg Lorentzen. Her Mom married a man who was not blue blood and they were banned from living in Norway, so the family lived in Rio de Janeiro. Inge went to the palace on her vacations! Eating at their home in Rio was wild - picture a table fit for a king and you get the idea!

My Mom is 86 going on 20! She is so healthy and walks every day for 2 hours when she is in San Diego.

She is considering living here in La Bocana and is testing the waters, so to speak. I love having her here!

Juanita's huevos rancheros, even when Juanita is not there like today, are delish and the enchiladas suizas are excellent. The chilaquiles I can also vouch for!

Mr. Retireded, please make a point of coming to stay with us! At $40 a room with access to the whole house, you can't beat the deal.
