Im looking for a Hotel in SF where I could park my rig (that includes an open trailer with stuff exposed) and not get ripped off. Any ideas of a
hotel with good security for truck+ trailer?

Put anything that can be easily taken into your room.
Tip the guard to watch your stuff.
Park outside your room.
Put good locks of stuff. Avoid cable locks.
Use motion detector lights and locks.

I always stay at Hotel Capitan. Dog friendly. Easy walk to malecon.Night security guard.I have seen race teams with trailers there, not a lot of room

I´ve seen racers parked at Sky Blue Hotel north of San felipe. Trucks towing trailers with tophy trucks and gear. Seemed pretty safe to me.sancho - 10-1-2020 at 02:38 PM
There is a campground, small Motel, approx. 5 blks. no.
of the malecon, called Kikis. !0 rooms or so, that share an
RV tent campground. Parking is 10' ft. from the rooms.
There is GENERALLY a nite warchman who sits adajacent

Next to El Capitan is El Caribe. Small hotel with enclosed courtyard. Parking directly under the rooms. Would be a difficult place to get into with

Inclosed trailer or topper for your truck is always recommended.
Otherwise drive around and evaluate the motels that have enclosed parking. Only a couple in town and one north of the arches on the west side where

What Sancho and mjs said is good advice. I've stayed at both, Kiki's is a little farther out of town but you could walk or get a ride into to the

I agree with Kiki's campground. It has only one way in from the street and the wall around the entire campground (besides the beach access). From my
experiences, they have always had the overnight guard at the driveway entrance and is very reasonably priced. Along with the "hotel" rooms closest to
the office.

I can't tell you how many times in Baja leaving at grey light I have had to bang on the door to wake up the "security" guard to get my deposit back

When in San Felipe, I typically get something on the mountain side (west of highway 5) at El Dorado. Many houses, large to small, many have a garage,
and even without garage, seems very secure to me. I either go through mysanfelipevacation.com or NoBadDayzSanFelipe (facebook) with Cesar. Cesar is a
good dude. I'll get you his number if you want. Even a house for ONE night or multiple nights, through either of them is typically cheaper than a
hotel in town.
BUT, we actually stayed in town last night at Hotel Hacienda Don Jesus. Gated lot, security guard. His car was there too, so I parked next to him.

Thanks yes. I usually stay at Caribe but usually don't have such a long rig. I like that place. and for $50 can't be beat.
