Can anyone direct me to WebSite or person that might shed some light on how investment, profit and liabilities might impact someone who lives in the
US.
Examples:
I've been asked questions regarding US tax with relation to profit & losses in Mexico owned business by US citizen.
If someone hurts ( falls, slips etc ) themselves on your rented bungalo, can they sue you in the states? Does it make a difference if they paid you in
states (paypal?) for nights in Mexico?
Would appreciate any info.

An American can sue another American in the United States regardless of Where in the World the event occurred. An American can be held criminally
liable for violent acts against another American regardless of where the criminal act occurred.

there are many people and companies doing legit business in Mexicao.
first; contact a weel recommended Attorney.
Second; contact Co's that have been doing business for many years , such as the Farmers/Veggie Growers, Cattle buyers.
if done properly you should not have any problems.
Keep in mind that mexico does things a little different and Slower
