If this is aimed at BajaBlanca, who lives in La Bocana and rents out rooms you are way off base. She and Les (both of whom I only know through Nomad) are Mexican citizens.
And she does great community service helping the local kids with education and their parents with living issues.

If I missed your point, forgive me. If it is on target shame on you.

I would totally recommend Blanca's LaBocana hotel - great view, quiet, comfortable - you can't go wrong.

the fishing coop do a fine job with their new tourism venture, cabins, restaurant and sport fishing but.....the cabins arent for everyone.
I have sent our guest there and the feedback I got was that they prefered Blanca & Les's place as it is much quieter.

The cabins are right where the coop fishermen leave from so they make lots of noise very early in the morning which some people tht werent fishing didnt like...just an FYI

Blanca has done fantastic thing for her community and has my respect and appreciation. They also offer great service to their guests.

Blanca and Les have a great location and rooms, offer kind and friendly hosting, and are a real asset to their community.

Their presence warms up the town and helps guests/visitors find their way around. :light::coolup:

And, nope. To be Mexican you have to be born and raised in this country, not just buy a paper that gives you permit to be here legally.

Boy, whew! Sorry I was off for a couple days.

The cabanas on the beach are indeed open and bustling with business. They are adorable since they are right on the beach as well as being so close to the beach restaurant.

The contact number is 615 109-9512 - most likely HECTOR will answer and he does speak English.

Archie - There is room for all of us to run our businesses. When we first entertained the idea of opening up our little hotel, we had the cooperative bigwigs over for lunch and that launched those cabins on the beach idea. I am really proud of the progress they have made, they now handle 99% of all the fishing trips and do an amazing job!

15 years here and loving life as a long term tourist Mexican LOL

Archie, we went for our morning walk with the cats and on it I realized that we are all citizens of the world.

I love the US of A. and I tear up and get a huge knot in my throat whenever I hear the national anthem. I love crazy, fun Brazil more than words can ever express. And I feel like Mexico has embraced me with open arms, and I have embraced it at full speed too.

My Grandparents were German. My husband is Polish/British/Mexican.

Citizen of the World is how I see myself.

Immigration is accepted and legal in both usa and mexico. Citizenship by birth does not trump citizenship by immigration. Dont be a bigot!

So...we went to the Cabins restaurant for dinner. Our guests had lobster and loved it!

I had my margarita, Mom and Les their cervezas (Can you believe they do not have Pacifico's????).

Our other guests were inside and bought La Bocana tshirts from Celso, they are beautiful and I forgot to get a picture.






I love my Life. If voting, teaching, clean up litter projects and introducing wonderful guests to our village does not make us citizens, I ain't sure what does!

...we are operating at lower capacity and reservations only

a lot of people vacationing in mulege this summer...

my guess is its because they cant cross the border yet to the usa

no europeans and august is ALL europeans normally

if you are a business in mexico being on this list is not a award but REQUIRED

Expect fishing groups to be staying in the cabins for the first 3 weeks of November. Cedros Sportfishing will be using them for their charters.

I’ve spent a couple of weeks in the cabins and toured Blancas place and had friends stay there.

The cabins are nothing fancy and it is true since they are right on the water that you will hear the fisherman leaving in the morning and the tide lapping up on the shore can be a bit noisy, Showering can be a bit of an adventure.

A perfectly fine place to stay. Beds are comfy and very convenient for fishing etc.

Blanca’s place is on the North side of town and is more secluded. More of a big house with rooms and a kitchen. My friends who stayed there were quite happy,

La Bocana is great little town with a surprisingly nice supermarket and usual amenities, laundry etc.

Hopefully I’ll get back there next year for a visit.

I forget how lucky we are with our mini Costco.
