This is the first time I have seen pulque in Baja!
Did you by chance try it? I've always understood pulque to be a living beverage, and don't understand how the essence can survive if canned or
bottled...
The bottled stuff is likely pasteurized. The authentic version only lasts a few days...coronamike - 11-9-2020 at 10:47 AM

Loreto and San Carlos in Sonora are by far my favorite Mexican towns.
Pretty similar and both awesome.
Missing Loreto

Thx for posting your pics. We love hanging out in Loreto!
We are still exercising travel precautions but hope to be heading south this spring! 😎
Until then we will live vicariously through pics and past memories. Whale-ista - 11-10-2020 at 01:58 PM
Lovely photos! Good to know about the organic option at the Saturday market.
Thanks for the updates! BajaBlanca - 11-11-2020 at 02:43 PM
Did not try the pulque last Saturday but did try it when we were in Puebla ... I cannot remember the name of the town but it had a pulqueria or pulque
bar.
The taste of the pulque, plain, is horrid. Such a stink! the taste with juice makes it great, Very potent and after one I fell asleep in the car

We will be back there Sunday Nov 15 (late pm) to drop off Les's daughter/son in law at the airport if anyone wants to meet up!
Probably eat at Del Borracho.BajaBlanca - 11-12-2020 at 09:26 PM
The bagels are REALLY tasty!
From Loreto to our kitchen to my belly.

Cool. The valley west of Mulege is all organic too. Not really promoted but some amazing organic produce without the organic prices you would pay in
the US or gringo areas.BajaBlanca - 11-17-2020 at 09:12 PM
