Happy Holidaze.... So, has anyone been back to PSFO since Mingo & Rosa have passed? Is Juan & his son Leonel still keeping place running? Is
their internet still running?

Seems things might have gone sideways? C205Driver - 12-24-2020 at 05:35 PM

Is that airstrip still open?advrider - 12-25-2020 at 03:56 PM
Place was really run down a couple of years ago even before Rosa passed a way. Such a magical place, I would love to see it brought back to useable
shape. Rebuilding a few of the old palapas and having a restaurant would be amazing.
To bad they couldn't make it some kind of club, dare I say resort on the rustic side where people could put some money in up front to rebuild
it and then use it at a reduced rate.
What about them joining forces with the other place just South of them or one of the local ranches? Probably just a dream but I really enjoy the
setting and rustic aspect of the place years ago.
I know it's a pipe dream... Don Pisto - 12-25-2020 at 04:23 PM
no doubt its a cool place to visit and I've seen it deteriorate over the years......but in my mind its a long way to go to catch taco bass and sierra
when you can just go to BoLA where's there's already restaurants, hotels and better fishing and easier to get to. offroading there I know nothing
about.

On January 1, 2017, it was pretty sad and run-down looking. There was staff in the cafe but junk all around.
Beto's place on the cove was really clean and nice, however.
Thinking I need to checkout Beto's place, haven't been there.
Yes! The closed gate is to keep out cattle, not visitors (he told me).

.... I was flying South the day Beto’s wife hitched a ride North; crashed in Ensenada... We listened to a conversation between the 2 aircraft that
had departed San Ignacio with the twin relaying that fuel was siphoning out of the wing tank cap... Don’t know if that had any relevance to the
crash or not... My friend Milt had to identify the bodies...
