Here are Dayr's official graduation photos with his graduating class. It has been such a long road for this young gentleman! His Mom uprooted the
family from La Bocana to La Paz in the middle of his high school years. He was so distraught at not being in the scholarship project that I told him
that he could be in it if he kept his A average up. He did.
He just completed his internship and got an A.
So very proud of him and so very grateful to all of you. In one way or another, every one of you has helped my dream to change lives possible.
He is the first guy to the left of the girl.
He is the one with 5 fingers up.
All of his grades from day 1! SMART KID!!!
This is an official letter in which he expresses his gratitude. In his words to me he says "Thank you Blanca Portella who always believed in me and
in my potential. She was the main person who helped me achieve my dream by supporting me emotionally and financially. There are no words to thank you
and Life for putting you in my path."

We had to jump through some weird hoops with him over the past 5 years. A couple times he wrote to me that they had no food on the table. We covered
them with some cash for food.
Once he thought about dropping out since his mom was not able to find a job. I coached her and helped her get back on her feet.
Scary moments but we survived and here he is with such a bright future ahead! We are hoping that the company he interned at hires him.

His major was business administration and I just realized that 98% of his graduating class was female.

This is awesome. I imagine the past year has been tough too. With schools being online do your students have access to high speed internet and
adequate computers?

They do. All of them have donated laptops, all of them are in their respective "big" towns (La Paz, TJ, Ensenada, Santa Rosalia) so that they have
high speed internet.
It was hard for them to zoom at first, and they do not love it, but they have adapted well.
