We went to San Felipe on our way to San Diego for vaccine

We had to go to San Diego to get our vaccines - two trips and now we are done.

shot 1

shot 2

We are very happy!

On our way we took highway 5 and loved it! Such an easy drive. We stopped in San Felipe 3 times and once came back via Ensenada.

Here are some photos for those of you who are not traveling and miss Baja!!!

On our way north, just a little past San Felipe, is a wonderful store but the prices were in dollars and wow, quite high.

There is another store in Ensenada where the prices are in pesos, the same style Talavera pottery and much less expensive. It is on the road you turn left on to get to highway 1, the one that is in front of the military.

These are the pots we bought there.

These two the seller sold two for $250 pesos - great deal since the one was priced at $200.

All in all it was a wonderful trip both times. No issues but our car was so full LOL The customs officer in San Felipe asked if we had a lot of cats. Boots loves this kind, so I bought 3 cases.

Glad you got both of the vaccines Blanca. As an educator, I got the first stab on Saturday, sore arm but didn't stop me from snowboarding on Sunday. The second stab is just before spring break. The itch for a socially distant surf trip to a remote beach is very real.

I'm sure you are feeling relieved to have gotten the vaccine.

Got a 2nd Moderna 3 days ago no problem. 1st hurt going in and then dull ache for days.

2nd shot nothing. Almost like I didn't get it.

Cool! I'm really glad you've (hopefully) reduced your vulnerability.

Did you notice any reaction? I just talked to a couple friends in New Mexico and the second dose of Moderna knocked them on their butts for about 48 hours. Aching joints and muscles, moderate fever, lethargy, the whole show. And they're in really good physical shape.

I have 3 good friends here in Redding, CA that had the same experience with their second Moderna shot-----for about 36 hours they thought they were going to die, then they were fine. Then got word from my 88 year old sister, and her 87 yr old husband in San Diego who had absolutely no problem with either the 1st or 2nd Moderna shots. We are all different.

If it had not been for the band aid that I forgot to remove, I would not have know where I got the first shot (Pfizer). I got it through the VA.

After 24 hours or so, there was a very slight discomfort spot a couple of inches below the injection site, but nothing I would have even paid attention to if I wasn't looking for a reaction.

You know us Marines are a tough bunch. I was lucky as well, no reaction for #1 or #2.

Were so damn tough the needle almost didn't go in.

Our shots were pfizer and Les jokes that they probably gave us water in the shot!

I had a sore arm, both times. Les had no reaction period.

Now, for those who have not had the shot, our nurse said it is really important to relax the arm.

We are so relieved, there are no words.

I’m waiting for the Sputnik 5 vaccine. It was the first vaccine developed for Covid in the world, and has an excellent record. Many country’s are going with it and the results have been very favorable. It’s only fault is, being developed in Russia, the not invented here syndrome. Also big pharma not being able to cash in.Mexico has placed a large order at considerably less cost than anything on the market currently. Only one shot needed and no storage problems involving keeping it frozen.

and now Cuba is also in the running.

Still no reaction to the shots and still being careful but relieved.
