shari - 6-4-2021 at 07:39 AM

Here is a little video of beautiful Bahia Asuncion we put together with my footage, drone video from Rossman and a few guests who sent me stuff. Enjoy a tour of our village! (I couldnt seem to get the link to embed....sigh)

Great video!!

Loved my visit to Bahia Asuncion and La Bufadora Inn in January 2020. Plan to return Spring 2022.

LOVE IT Thank you shari

It must be whale magic!

AKgringo - 6-4-2021 at 08:27 AM

I checked back here, and now the original link works just fine. Probably was a problem with my feed on this end.

I want to be there!

It's pretty well edited and the images are nice and sharp with vibrant colors.

it was a long labour of love to get everything just right! The next one is going to be a drive around town....then a whale magic one...and a bird one...and on and on.

NICE! I am sending this video to my people at Benchmark so they can see what La Bufadora Inn (on the new Atlas) and Bahía Asunción have to offer!

Looking forward to the next one! As a suggestion, I think you should consider making it clear that "Whale Magic" happens in Guerrero Negro, not Bahia Asuncion. When I was there, two separate groups showed up at the inn ready to go see whales, and were not pleased to have to back track to G.N.

Good video and the Inn looks a great place to stay - a good "getaway".

I found the music pleasant too. Who's the musician?

It sounds like the version recorded by IZ, a Hawaiian musician that passed away a few years ago, but I could be wrong.

Very Nice. I’ll be stopping by in October.

Israel Kamakawiwoʻole
"Brother Iz" was from Hawaii and passed away from a heart attack just like his father. I would estimate Brothers Iz's weight at around 500 LBS.

His music is definitely on my travel play list.

I saw the Brothers Cazimero play a small venue, good stuff.

Great video kiddo, c u in the fall.

Thank you everyone for your comments. It has been a long editing journey and painful to have to leave out so much. So I am working on a slide show that shows more fishing, fiestas, horses, surfing etc.

Yes the music is brother Iz...Somewhere Over the Rainbow has been a favorite of mine since early childhood and set me to dreaming. Asuncion is kinda like my dream come true and this version is my favorite. Initially I wanted local mexican music but it simply didnt fit as well.

I was torn about including whales and they are just who I am so I left them in...plus we are offering a package that includes whales & Asuncion.

It was tough to choose a title page too...this was my 2nd choice.
Also Vimeo has a nicer version of the video but takes longer to load so here is the link for those of you who have decent internet!
