Many places cook your fish for you in Baja and we have never had any trouble finding places to do so. However, we have not fished out of Cabo in over
10 years. Just about everywhere else though including the usual places, Loreto, La Paz, Muelge, Bahia, Mag Bay etc. we had our catch cooked for us by
professional chefs at restaurants.
Sometimes, when one is traveling and fishing with family and friends it is quite nice to come in after a day on the water and relax for the remainder
of the day.
Enjoying the catch of the day at a local restaurant is a great shared experience with family and friends and helps support the locals too.
Our go to is ask the waiter to request the chefs to prepare the fish in several ways as at home we are not as talented in the kitchen as the pros are.
The fish is prepared and brought out in several styles. Mojo de ajo, pescado veracruzano, pescado al disco, pescado a la parrila, pescado empanizado,
etc.
Lots of good food and fun too comparing and enjoying the different styles.
I doubt you will have any trouble finding a place to cook your catch of the day. Enjoy!

I don't know Cabo well so can't help much. However, I gotta say I understand where you are coming from. Doing your own cooking in a hotel can be
tricky if it's not set up for it. Cabo doesn't seem to cater to that type of visit. I regularly find a restaurant to cook up part of our catch. It's a
GREAT way to ensure you are getting fresh fish and I enjoy trying new recipes. I love to cook and this often leads to learning new recipes and ideas.
If you are even in Bay of LA, the cook at Villa Vitas will prepare several different offerings in one sitting if you give him enough fish. Of course,
people move so I can't guarantee that.

It wasn't in Cabo, but on the mainland near Zihuantanejo. I was with a couple of friends on a beach, and we had been buying beverages, and sea food
c-cktails from a beach vendor for a while.
I had a spear gun, so I went snorkeling right in front of the beach, and got a nice rock fish right away! I had intended to take it back to the place
we rented and cook it, but the guy who had been bringing us beers seem to want it.
No problem, I didn't really feel like cooking anyway, so I gave it to him. He brought it back about fifteen minutes later, cooked to perfection, and
no charge!
I waited to see if tommy got a useful answer before I went off topic.

In CSL, there are many places advertising “you catch it, we cook it.” I seem to recall a few places around old town SJdC as well. Heading up from
the beach towards the main square in SJdC, I seem to recall a couple restaurants on the right hand side close to the roundabout that advertise this as

Most restaurants will welcome you with your fresh catch - not the high end ones though .. Is there an onsite restaurant where you are staying ?
Coming to Cabo from San Jose del Cabo to have your fresh fish prepared makes little sense IMO.
In Cabo it depends on if you are looking for ambiance, or not. There are many many choices in both towns.

Thx for the suggestion, I think in an earlier post I mentioned going to Cabo but meant San Jose Del Cabo so no I wouldn’t drive that far to have my
catch prepared. Thx again
