I was at Campo Rene twice in the past couple weeks. They have semi opened up. The chains are removed from the entrance. There is a watchman on duty
most of the time. You are allowed to camp for $15 a night. No hot water and flushing is done with a bucket of water. Boat ramp is clear and usable.
Restaurant is not open and no plans to do so. In a conversation with a local, apparently the current jefe of the Cooporativo that owns it is dead set
against fully reopening, as it is too much trouble and a money looser. The jefe is retiring soon so maybe the new guy will have different thoughts on
the matter.BajaBlanca - 6-21-2021 at 07:08 AM
Hopefully you are right. The locals LOVE picnicking there.
