Any updates on how things are in San Juanico? I'm suppossed to go down this weekend. Are the beaches still closed and if so any word on reopening?
Does anyone know if the restaurants are open for in person dining? Or is the town in a mini lockdown. I'm a bit worried about the COVID situation
and how locals are reacting to their ordeal. Are the locals blaming gringos for bringing the disease into their town or does the town want to reopen

Talked to local police yesterday. They say cases in town are leveling out, but not decreasing. Cases will have to decrease, then maintain a period

All beaches are completely closed. Someone was busted for trying to surf yesterday. It appears everyone is very worried/frightened about Covid.
Driving through town, it's lucky if you see a car or somebody walking around. My feeling of the town sentiment right now is that If you do not live

Comondu went from 19 active cases on June 15th to 237 on July 21. On July 14 it was 239 so maybe it is leveling off. It will get better if everyone
there stays hunkered down and the infected get well.

We just packed up and left, had plans to stay till Aug 15 but the closure will be in place for awhile. The thought of surfing seemed selfish and
rude. The local Mexican surfers are very against anyone breaking ranks and trying to surf. The town has had 3 deaths and funerals, which are huge
event there, are being planned. Everyone in that town was related to or knew the deceased in some way,,,,, so to answer your question,,,,,it’s
real, very real and the word is there are at least 6 more locals hospitalized. Plan your trip when it’s appropriate, you will be able to enjoy it,

I think they closed the beaches on the 16th or so.
