Baja with Mike (Mike Humfreville) stories 2002-2006

Many of Fred Metcalf's Baja pages are no longer online. However, Mike Humfreville's stories of his adventures in Baja, remain preserved... but for how long?
Do try and view these, some may be worth saving on your machine. Not long after his book (In the Shadow of the Volcano) was published, Mike suffered a heart attack in L.A. Bay, just days after his final story in this list:

Mike is buried at the Bahía de los Angeles cemetery. His wife, Mary Ann, still is missing after a home invasion last year at their Bahía de los Angeles residence, a few miles south of town.

They had two sons, Kevin and Mike Jr. (Miguelito).
Kevin had been the one in touch with me regarding Mary Ann.

Other materials:
Mike's book is still available from me (but only 4 copies remain) and likely at the Bahía de los Angeles museum gift shop. I would guess several cases of it are at their home?
Mike's posts on Nomad are mostly all here by searching.

Really enjoyed his book, his kids were lucky to have such an awesome childhood.

They were quite the family... I sure enjoy traveling and camping with them. They supported my Viva Baja events by helping out and were great socializers.
A very interesting pair who met while working on America's space program at the JPL in Pasadena.
