go see the Capilla at Secundo Bosque next time
24.839573°, -110.770980°
more importantly, visit the Amadors at Primer Bosque
24.835997°, -110.778920°
bring gifts (lighters, brushes, zip lock bags)
that family is straight line Spanish soldiers
it will be an enchanting visit
have them show you their garden and well

Very cool. Just a few miles down the road from La Soledad.

4x4abc - 8-14-2021 at 12:35 AM

now this could be a cool moto side trip
close to San Evaristo
access for 4x4 is wiped out
I hiked it a few years back
leads to abandoned Rancho Los Palmares
caves, palm trees, water, Camino real

Interesting... The road is shown on the CalTopo site (Mex topo maps) to Las Palmares, but the ranch is listed as abandoned.

No worries Harald. I don't ride anywhere that my truck can't be close by.

Early next year might be the best time?

Rental RZR by the blue shrimp on the way to San Evaristo.

StuckSucks - 8-18-2021 at 04:08 PM

Riding between San Felipe and Gonzaga, we bumped into the weathered The Mary V:

As if that weren't enough, I found a couple Midshipmen on the beach and decided one attached to the front fender of my bike would make me look bad-axe. No?

JZ - 8-18-2021 at 09:50 PM

Awesome pics SS.

My MX friend did something similar the day we tried to ride the Agua Verde back door to Constitucion.

I have never seen a moto or razor in this area ever haha . Let alone anybody else did see lone horseback rider. Never see any tire tracks but my own . So we will enjoy

The cemetery is on the hill, northeast of the mission, and not part of the self-guided tour path system. In two of my photos, you can see some white grave markers on the hill (Photos #7 & 10). They would all be post-mission period, I think.

Staying on the paths, I took these photos in June 2017. The last two are from inside the little museum there:

CRF230 in the pic by the San Rafael sign.

The one in the pic with the quad might be a 150. I forget what it was. Someone stole it out of my truck at Best Buy. Was only in the store 15 mins. Unbelievable.

Very kind, Larry.
It has been great meeting and four-wheeling with you.
You help others, too! Your giving me those vise grips got me home after my brake fail at El Coyote. I also appreciated your hospitality in San Vicente, very much.

While my friend worked on his bike, I found dozens of these on the beach, all dried up.
