I drove by it a couple of moths ago and I thought that there was a camper or 2 in it. Not 100% sure though.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Yes it is open, well maintained and as Eddie said, "rockin". They are pretty busy right now with vindemia, concerts etc in the valley this month.

$20 per night

$350 monthly

iOverland??? When did camping become overlanding?`a new verb? Never have I said " OK family lots go overlanding"

AKgringo - 8-26-2021 at 05:44 PM

Luke, I am a solo traveler with a large dog! Would we be welcome to car camp there, and what would it cost. The shower and bathrooms would be nice, but I wouldn't need much else.

And when did this
become "camping"? :?:

It’s a personal choice for some. Camping is as simple as throwing a bedroll or Buffalo robe on the ground or all the way up to a 3 million dollar RV. Lots of choices today. Depends on your mission.Probably when people wanted maximum comfort and were willing and able to pay the price for Instant hot water, washer and dryer, air conditioning, King Size bed, shower, Refrigerator/freezer, Satellite TV, bring the pets, and a nice view of the beach or any other surrounding and move it around.

Since the Luke comment was a cut and paste hack from another sight doubt if Luke or Ed will see this. You can also ask Ed on Talk Baja FB, he posts there. I messaged with Ed a few days ago about this post.

In response to your inquiry, you can car camp there. I see many folks doing that quite often. Expect to pay the posted prices above. If you see Ed tell him you know the password for the bro discount, "Edsel."

Don Jorge, thanks for the info! I don't usually stop anywhere that far north, but timing is everything when you travel without a plan like I frequently do.

“Overlanding” is just what the kids now call car-camping with 4wd vehicles.
I call it “overdirting” when they travel unpaved roads, and “overpaving” when they travel paved roads :lol:

Cool a bro discount.

Do you know if they are still building a resort on the hill above the school?

Nothing concrete yet, so to speak.
