I have been living here in Baja with a girl for the last 5 years as man and wife but without the legal paperwork? In July we will be relocating to La
Paz? I was told that if we got married there was a small window of approximately 30 days after we marry that I could apply for Mexican citizenship? no
strings attached? as in none of the normal FM3 stuff? straight from a Tourist Visa to citizenship?.
Anyone out there heard of such a thing or know where I might get some info on this??
Thanks,
Tio Rocky

Tio I have herd the same thing but I did not here about the 30 day window. . also it is different More men than it is for women, it is vary easy for a
women marrying a Mexican Man . but not for a foreign man marrying a Mexican women. let me Know if you find the law in English.

Not to get ahead of things but maybe you could answer this next question...
If this is true and I got the citizenship could I then purchase property in La Paz without the bank trust or do you have to be Mexican born?
Tio Rocky...

Interesting bid of reading.... thank you... it does appear that it is easier for a women then a man as Bruce stated but there is not enough
information to draw a conclusion?
I did not read it word for word but most and I did not see anything about land owning? so still dazed and confused?
