Going down to Loreto at the end of next month for a week and wanted to fish around the marina when not out on a boat, was thinking sabiki rigs for
catching bait in the marina and throwing some Krocodiles out, any other suggestions?
Thx and stay safe

Maybe some 3/8 oz Kastmasters? Or even half ounce, but you need to put a split ring on those IIRC. Krocodiles always effective too.

Just wanted to report on my shore fishing from the marina in Loreto, used a sabiki rig hook size #4 for sardines just North of the Marina. Had a
bucket with an aerator to keep sardines alive then went just south of the marina on the malecon to the first overpass, fly lined the sardines for
small roosters, had a blast all catch and released

Sounds like fun!
I've heard roosterfish does not taste that good (or too boney?), so C&R seems to be the way to go with them. But, some people can make an old
shoe into roast beef, so who knows. Glad you had some success!!!!!

The only rooster I ever kept, cauugt off the rocks at Pt Chivato weighed 2 1/2 pounds and was delicious. The 20 lb I caught at Aguas Verdes ,
released knowing many feel the big guys are not of the highest culinary value.
