Recommending this book: Walk in My Combat Boots J Patterson/Matt Eversmann

I am in the middle of this collection of short, real life stories and am in awe of our military.

I highly recommend it as it is an easy read and wonderfully uplifting in spite of being raw.

Not Baja related, but I am in Baja so thought I would share.

Thanks Blanca. If more had any idea what commitment it takes to serve our nation, perhaps there wouldn't be those who denigrate the service.

I grew up in a WW2, Korea, and VN Marine pilot family. The greatest generation is the real deal, and it is not just the officer who serves. The whole family does in its own way.

Geez. Some .......people have no clue. Semper Fi.

All respect due to people who are put in harm's way .:saint:

Not so much for imperialistic governments and MIC for putting them there.

Have you seen recent numbers and info on Afghanistan military spending wastes?
