RV park in or around San Felipe?

Taking the RV south next week and meeting up with friends in the San Felipe area before we head to the Gonzaga Bay area and then on to Loreto.

Any recommendations for San Felipe or the San Felipe area just for an overnighter? Prefer on or close to the beach but not necessary because arriving in the afternoon and leaving the next morning. Electric would be nice but not a must. Someone mentioned Petes Camp but know nothing about it other than looking them up on the Internet.

Current info please, not when you were there in 2010!

Howard Kiki’s Hotel in SF is a nice place right on the beach and easy access for your RV they have everything you need w/ bathrooms / showers ect. and it’s dog friendly. We stay in the rooms they have and they are nice as well. Their # 686-577-2021

What happened was El Dorado had a nice beach RV park. That pretty much resulted in the compeitors going out of business. Then El Dorado converted the RV park to condos and the little RV parks never reopened.

Just for overnite, Pete's would suffice. 7 miles no. of town,
in on a gravel road 1/3 mi. towards the Cortez.
Kikis 6 blks. no. of the Malecon
in town. If price is any factor, want to save $, Victors park, has cheap dry
camping, 4 blks. so of the Malecon. The other 2 mentioned
approx. $35

Kikis is good and probably not full right now with the Canadians not being able to flock down.

I'm going into town later today, I drive by and see if they are full in the next week or so.

My Trip Reports of 2017 lists the campgrounds (ones advertised from the highway):

NORTH OF TOWN:

Km. 171.5 Villas Cortez (2.4 mi.). Palapas, pool, nice looking! But, no in-vehicle camping (RVs or out of your truck). You must unload at a turnaround loading spot, carry your things across the sand 100 feet to a palapa, then park your vehicle even further away, behind a building (out-of-sight).

Km. 173.5 Playa Grande (1.9 mi.) Palapa camping.

Km. 177.5 Pete's Camp El Paraiso (1.0 mi. to restaurant, 1.1 to palapas)

Km. 180+ Campo Los Compadres (0.9 in) Many palapas overlooking beach or arroyo.

Km. 183 Playas del Sol (1.1 mi.) Palapas www.playasdelsol@live.com.mex is posted.

SOUTH OF TOWN:

Km. 8.5 Villa Marina RV Park (0.3 mi.)

Km. 12 Punta Estrella Beach (0.9 mi.)

Km. 20.5+ Rancho Percebu (2.3 mi.)

Km. 32 Nuevo Mazatlán (0.5 mi.)

Km. 74.5 Octavio's Playa Escondida (0.5 mi.)

We like Victor's because it's close enough to town to walk over for dinner but quite most of the time. Pretty secure because they close the gates at night and have a night watchman. The dry camping area is good for an overnighter and 30 amp power is available.

Pete's now has concrete slabs, hook-ups, on the water's edge. The short dirt road into Pete's is kept smooth - big sign on a tall post on the left, before the first gas station - maybe Km 171? OK - my Km is wrong, but dutifully corrected in other posts!

Restaurant open's at 7:00 a.m. good breakfast - shrimp omelet

Dinner - Pete's special

outside patio bar is nice too if you are into a c-cktail or two

The beach front RV stalls have water, 50A power, and Internet. And maybe close to the best resturant in all of SF.
7 miles or so N of town
Everything is brand new last year.

Dry camong sites about 100' N of the new electric sites are much less expensive. Same beach and same resturant. Ok bathrooms that were remocled when the fancy new sites were added.

Victors is pretty good, however on the weekends it is loud all night. The sandhill is just across the street and the locals party all night there
