Hello - my wife and I are finally off to have some fun, taking an extended time away from work and starting our journey out by heading down to Baja in
the Jan/Feb timeframe. Other than a trip to Ensenada in the 80’s when I was stationed in Cali, neither one of us has spent time in Baja.
We will be traveling in a Winnebago Revel, which is a Sprinter based RV that takes Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. I’ve heard conflicting information
around the availability of ULSD in Baja and am hoping to get some solid intel as well as any info on DEF availability. Thanks!

Typically, we hear that the northern state has been ULSD (Ultra Bajo Azufre or UBA) for several years as it comes from the U.S. but the southern state
was still just BA (Bajo Azufre) as its fuel is tanked across the gulf from the mainland refineries. That was also from years ago. Nomads with new ULSD
rigs have been going to Baja Sur and lived to tell about it... no serious issues, I presume?
We had also heard that all of Mexico was to be Ultra Bajo Azufre by now...?
Welcome to Baja Nomad, a place where you will get lots of answers and some of them may be right!

Take my newer diesel all the time.
DEF is easy to get in a town of decent size.

Sprinters made for the Mexican market do not require ULSD
