A little online reading suggest that the general trend is El Niño bad (few anchovies, more storms), La Niña good, with colder water and more
plankton at the base of the food chain. And it sounds like this year is a La Niña year!
Does anyone have thoughts on how that translates in to actual fishing conditions? Does it mean anything "actionable" like more yellowtail near the
surface, or better inshore fishing?
