Yes sir 100x your a off roader like me all good but heads up. Living here and visiting Baja . Are two different things locked gates and closed routes. Are getting worse by the month great routes are getting closed off. Since we are from So Cal and left that silly state. Be nice for Baja to not get that our routes are very nice. We dont share with GPS of how to get there. As then come the masses getting places closed . Im sure since you have ridden here long time you see the change. Posting on internet cool places not normal traveled not cool

Not sure but I think I am the one that suggested that area/route a day or two ago. Is part of or close to a previous SCORE racecourse.

David and Harard my comment was directed to you as well. Should we edit and remove all Trip Reports? Remove the maps and tracks the two of you and others have graciously provided?Take down this site? Take down all sites that might cause someone to visit? Pull up the ladder?

As the population grows, more land is privatized, less is open to explore the way we did before.
Maybe things will improve or maybe not?

Progress can sometimes be bad for us but good for others.
Take Highway 1, for example; it ended the isolation we found so fascinating for this wonderful peninsula. It opened the flow of cash for most of the peninsula, which was a good thing. Most of you came down the peninsula because of the highway, so you won't know what we old timers lost.

It is all okay in the end.

You cant share behind locked gates anymore pictures and trip reports . damage already done so its cool what you post. Pictures great but i wont tell you how to get there . David has been to hot springs with me , Its well known to only locals not a problem to post . As now locked gate good care takers have the keys . David always welcome as he only post what is allowed .

it is a stunning place

I considered it crowded when I saw more than 5 people at the beach
up until about 10 years ago

then the city of La Paz promoted the chit out of it
to the point that it had to be closed for a couple of summers, because there was too much caca in the water
during the last 2 summers access was restricted due to Covid
now, all restrictions dropped, the city wants to make it a cash cow and charge an entry fee

Look what people did to many of the most beautiful states/places in other countries, hell, all corners of the planet...

What's the answer--a pandemic? Eliminate computers? Stop sharing "secret" information with our buddies (because they tell 4 friends, and they tell 4 friends...). Be irascible to drive folks away from sites that are supposed to be about being helpful to others of like mind?

I'm not really taking sides on this--I get both. But let us be honest, you can't have it both ways.

well, change is the definition of life.

and since population is exploding there will be a lot of change
fast

and we know that growth creates problems
think of Paris and London, the first 1 million pop cities - the problems were smelly and sickening

since city/country planners know about those problems for a few hundred years now, I was hoping they would apply their knowledge

nope

greed still overrides everything

fixing something is more complicated and costly than preventing it
but greedy politicians and business owners count on us to pick up the tab

so, kiss you paradise beaches goodbye
and forget that there were adventure roads to kinda paradise
someone is already building copies for virtual reality
