I called it my own birdland for as long as it lasted until the chicks took off.

Are you sure these are endemic? We used to see these in the SF Bay Area. The two must be really closely related.

The Belding's Yellowthroat is indeed endemic. The Common Yellowthroat is wide spread. Visually, The Common has a wide white stripe between the
yellow head and the black face mask.
