Bertha update

BajaBlanca - 2-22-2022 at 05:36 AM

Bertha posted this on facebook this month. I could not be happier!

English:

It has been a while and I can say I like what is happening.
Reaching this stage has not been a walk in the park, I have ruined innumerable pizzas, burned and even delivered the wrong order but many have told me how much they enjoyed them, I include myself in that category. After such a long time I can say the future excites me.

Here are 2 of the pics she posted.

When I think back to a year ago when Bertha was living on the streets and her Mom had to intervene to get her into rehab ... to today where she says she is excited about the future feels like a HUGE success!

Thank you to those of you who supported our sponsoring the first meals the first months for her to get on her feet with this amazing endeavor: restaurant and helping animals with her proceeds.

She is in La Bocana, living with her dad and her sister. All three work together at making pizzas. making rolls and more. HOW VERY COOL IS THAT!

I am thrilled to see how far she's come, as well as optimistic that she's likely to stay on the right track. How wonderful of you to see her as a diamond in the rough!

Now I'm hungry for pizza!

Very cool, how would one go about ordering if we are in the area?

Let me know in advance what day you want one and I can do my best to make it happen! She does not make pizzas every day, nor does she have a set schedule as far as I can tell.

The other way is to ask for Bertha around town - her house is very close to SAPA offices in La Bocana.
