Looking at these coolers. Both seem to have good reviews, similar ice retention, bear resistant. Lifetime cooler more capacity and about $100 less,
weighs 6 pounds less (~a bag of ice), and a bit larger outside dimensions.
Anyone have experience with the Lifetime cooler?

The lifetime cooler is not a roto molded cooler. The rtic is roto molded and has thicher more durable shell. If you want to go down the rabbit hole
of coolers go to you tube. Many comparisons of coolers available.
I have a yeti and a otter box cooler and the otter box out performs the yeti. basautter - 3-21-2022 at 04:08 AM
I have a RTIC 45, and it is indistinguishable from the same size Yeti. Lighter would be good.John Harper - 3-21-2022 at 05:38 AM
Thanks, to all. I have been watching some comparison videos. I did find out that the Yeti 45 is actually a Yeti 37, and the Yeti 65 is actually a
Yeti 57. But the RTIC 45 is actually 45 quarts, not puffery.
I think they have some Lifetime 55 at my local Wally. I'll try to swing by and take a look.
I actually probably need only about 4-5 days of ice retention, but the bear resistance is important for my trips to the Sierra, Wyoming, Idaho, and
Montana.

Yes, 29 pounds for the RTIC 45 empty is crazy. I have a 26 quart roto molded cooler and weighs 16 pounds, I have to remember when pulling it off the
shelf, it's heavy.
