A game we have played here in the past... let's start with five photos, all have been shown here before and all are on VivaBaja.com. Maybe some new Nomads would like to play? Hints will be added, as needed... Exact answers, always... :light::coolup:

Time for hints?

#3 That's a playground and it is in front of a church, along a major federal highway!

#4 That's a bay, not on a main road to anywhere, and there is something interesting in the distance.

#3 no idea but area sure looks like todos santos?

You would be surprised then, if I told you you were correct? For a guess, you are very much correct. About one mile north of the town plaza is the site of the Visita of Todos Santos. It was elevated to a mission in 1733, named Santa Rosa de las Palmas. In 1748, the mission of La Paz (Pilar de la Paz) moved to here, thus ending a mission named Santa Rosa. In 1970, this church was built just behind the mission remains, upon which the playground sits:

In 1825, the mission moved south 2 kms. to what is now the downtown church in Todos Santos.

#4 is a bay on the Gulf of California and its name means The Souls.

I have been into Las Animas several times, and considered that, but it didn't look quite right. It still doesn't! I guess it is a matter of perspective.

wouldn't that be "espiritu"? as in the island?

Most photos at Bahía las Animas are looking north or east instead of south... as that bay opens to the north and most others open to the east.

My photo is near the fish camp and looking south to the hill with the mystery walls ("lost mission"), that the road goes past.

Here is Bahía las Animas as seen from the hilltop wall location, 2 miles away:

What was the purpose of these low walls?

Many 'sleeping circles' (filled with clamshell pieces) were past the top end of the long wall...

I edited my translation hint from 'spirits' to 'souls' (per Google translate).
