Interesting update on the Parnelli Bronco that recently sold for close to $2mil.
The writer makes it interesting, but obviously was not there "back in the day" The multiple flip event was not in the 1000. It was in the 500 and it
happened on the road coming back around Ojos Negros. It was graded, but not paved and PJ seemed to miss a few of the gaps in the grading. Stroppe
really let him have it in very choice language. but PJ just trucked on and won by a bunch.
I remember coming to impound after we finished (in the dark hours) and seeing the wrecked Bronco sitting there. When they told us he won we could not
believe it. That sucker was trashed, I believe he rolled it three different times

“The Bronco has several things that kind of would contribute to the flip,” Dilamarter said. “One: it’s a short wheelbase, two, it’s a narrow
track, three, it has a high center of gravity, and four, it has a spool rear end. Those are the things that contribute to that. Plus, you
know, over exuberance, whatever"”
Cool info. Thx.
