I was wondering if anyone has been to the San Francisquito area lately and could give me a fishing or spearfishing report. Water temp, fish, viz, etc.
Also I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with docking thier boat overnight at the dock (theft) in the little harbor there. I ask because
there have been some issues with planes down there.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM me if you do not care to post info publicly.

The cove with the dock is on private land, behind a closed gate (Beto's). The 'resort' with the runway is wide-open.
Contact Beto or his son (who is a Nomad 'Bajaboi') via their website: www.puertosf.com or Beto's email: aluwalfors@gmail.com

Thanks. Yes I am familiar with Beto and both “resorts”. I was just wondering how people felt about leaving their boat tied up to the dock over
night. I’ve heard and read of motors being stolen by people who come in at night by boat at places like BOLA and East Cape. Apparently they just use
a cordless sawzaw and cut the motor off the transom. Then they are left with no motor and a ruined boat.
San Francisquito is so remote I doubt this would ever happen. But I guess guys have been coming over from Sonora to poach and do who knows what else.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything.

Not sure when you are planning on going down but the guys that own and built the dock will be down there for the next couple of weeks so the dock
might get pretty crowded.David K - 5-27-2022 at 02:32 PM
Another point, the owner of the home on the beach told me the dock is theirs, not Beto's.mtgoat666 - 5-27-2022 at 02:50 PM

that's a well-protected bay, easy to anchor a boat.
re theft potential, i doubt the dock is more secure than anchoring.
if really concerned about theft, pull the boat out at night, or sleep on it.

The large home has accommodations for many cots and Beto usually rents to bikers. I assumed he owned that house?
Bajaboi (Beto's son) posted that the rental house is not the one on the beach by the dock. In fact, that home's owner emailed me after I made that
mistake in my trip report, so I edited it.

This is the private home (see dock, too):
This is the place Beto rents with bathrooms for campers, too:
