Sometimes big government creates great things. The interstate highway system. NASA’s accomplishments, too many to list individually. The Panama

National Road. The Lewis and Clark Expedition. USACE, too many accomplishments to list. The air traffic control system. The list is long!

Except the National Parks and God built those and government management is doing its very best to screw that up.
Government built projects are easy to spot
Poorly designed, cost overruns and outdated before they are finished.
The only "government" contribution is money and that is our taxpayer dollars, well diluted by bureaucrats before being applied to the bill.
California highways are a classic example. Worst highways in the country
Highest gas taxes in the country.
Government, at every level, is raking off its cut before spending on hard costs.
