Hello SENTRI users. I have been approved, via email, for SENTRI. I already had Global Entry, so I was approved in 2-3 days…
I was already in Baja though when I applied/was accepted…
Does anyone know if I can use the SENTRI lane without physically having a SENTRI card with me…? I have the email approval letter saved…I have my
Global Entry card with me if that helps…
Thanks in advanceJZ - 11-27-2022 at 08:48 AM
To my knowledge, you don't get separate cards for GE and Sentri.
I applied for GE and added my vehicle for Sentri.
Just got one card, a GE card. It does have small Ready Lane and Sentri icons on the back. It works in the Sentri lane.
You actually don't need the card to use GE or TSAPre at the airport. You do need the physical card in the Sentri lane.

Gotta have your card with you. And you need to first activate your card after you receive it.
Read the rules on CBP website. You need to have your card to cross via sentri lane.
The sentri line moves quickly because people have cards and the machine reads you card. The line would grind to a halt if people started using the
line with just printed email or letter from their mom.tomieharder - 11-27-2022 at 10:46 AM
Sentri and Global Entry use the same lanes. Either card is OK and a car registered for Sentri is also registered for GE. They are going to phase out
Sentri anyway.JZ - 11-27-2022 at 11:33 AM
If you applied for Sentri separately, the question is why?
Just add your car to GE to use the Sentri lane.

Remember too, each passenger in your vehicle must have a GE/Sentri card.Alan - 11-29-2022 at 08:29 AM
