For those of you in the area who haven't had a chance to visit the two new Museums in El Triunfo I highly recommend that you take an opportunity to do
so.
The first museo, "The Ruta de Plata" was completed about a year ago and details the mining history of the area. All exhibits are in both Espanol and
English. I'm sure many of you, just like me, have picked up many bits and pieces of Baja history through your years of visiting or even living here.
It was enlightening to see the how, when and the why of so many events I had only heard about as well as where they fit in the timeline.
The Vaquero Museum was just completed fairly recently and is equally as impressive.
Just bring a cell phone with you as the admission must be paid online.JDCanuck - 12-5-2022 at 01:00 PM
Alan: Thanks for sharing that. We had a chance to get some educational info from a historian on the silver mining history of Mexico when we were in
San Sebastion near Puerto Vallarta. Unfortunately we missed the museums in El Triunfo when we were there as they were closed. Looking forward to
learning more next time we are down.
I also came up with this interesting info on El Triunfo in a search:
