First year I bought my kids the Ikon pass. Got lucky, massive snow this year. Climate change be damned!
They are coming back home from college next weekend for winter break.
We've skied together so many times over the years. Looking forward to them going up to the mountain together without mom and dad.
Will do one trip with them while they are back.

According to last night's news, the central California Sierra snowpack is 214% of average for this date. That is pretty odd considering that this is
a "La Nina" year which usually steers storms north, or south of here.
If the high pressure system sets up over the coast again, we could go right back into drought mode. We can talk about what is average for central
California, but there is no normal winter. Droughts and floods are both normal here!

Diablo (not so) Dry Lake and Diablo Mountain in the background... San Felipe town (and lights) is blocked by Diablo.

The Sierra de Juárez received its first snow of the season. Friends at a ranch in El Hongo showed video of snow begging to stick, elevation
approximately 3,500'. La Rumorosa at 4,000' elevation had a couple inches. Rancho El Topo at 5,000' had an inch or two by 11:00 AM. Rancho Sauzalito
and Laguna Hanson (5,000') also posted beautiful winter wonderland photos.
