It was stated earlier that the price increase is approx 1 % per month. Actually, it has been one centavo per month (so far).

I don't know what you are buying or how you figure that but that dream world wont last long.most price increases happen in Jan and Feb. in Mexico.

Mexican Gas Prices
MrBillM - 4-9-2005 at 09:58 AM
For the last few months, the increase has been 1 or 2 centavos per month. Except for a spike up of Premium in Jun 0f 2004, the last year has seen no
more than 3 centavos per month increase. The following prices were recorded each month at San Felipe or Mexicali for 87 / 91 octane:
2004
Mar 5.82 / 6.70
Apr 5.83 / 6.71.. +1 / 1
May 5.84 / 6.72.. +1 / 1
Jun 5.86 / 6.92.. +2 / 20
Jul 5.88 / 6.94.. +2 / 2
Aug 5.89 / 6.95.. +1 / 1
Sep 5.91 / 6.98.. +2 / 3
Oct 5.92 / 6.99.. +1 / 1
Nov 5.94 / 7.01.. +2 / 2
Dec 5.95 / 7.02.. +1 / 1
2005
Jan 5.97 / 7.05.. +2 / 3
Feb 5.99 / 7.08.. +2 / 3
Mar 6.00 / 7.09.. +1 / 1
Apr 6.01 / 7.10.. +1 / 1

Thanks for the recap MrBillM I was using my great memory (lasts about 4 seconds) back 4-5 years when I saw a 3-4 centavo increases - at that time it
was about 3.50to 4.15 a liter so just projected that increas to today. And Hose, with propane prices set by the same people, they march forward and
upward had in hand

You did not state that you were only talking about Gasoline prices in your original post .if you average the overall prices of products in Mexico you
will come up with 12 to 15 % annual this includes everything and will very according to your local. Here we run at the 15% rate for the last 2 years.

You're correct that I didn't specify Gasoline prices. The reason for that was that I had originally intended to post that as a reply to the Gasoline
prices posted by Chesnut, however, my fingers apparently wandered and it came up as a new post. I should have taken a second look at my phrasing, but
I didn't. Sorry.
I still can't figure out how it came up as a separate thread, though, since the only options are "Post Reply" or "Preview Post". Perhaps the computer
bug struck again.

Sometimes this forum has a mind of its own. some times I write a post and when I click the post button everything disappears.
