Camping Santa rosalia

Wondering if there is anywhere close to town to stop for the night? Been a while since I have been thru there
Thanks

I don't know of a "campsite" to recommend, but I have used IFA (I follow arroyos) to find a spot to sleep overnight. There are dirt roads accessing the beach both north, and south of town.

The northern arroyo is a better road and will give you more options if you have a decent 4x4 and can leave the road. Both arroyos are closer to town than I would like for a campsite, but due to time of day and tired of driving status, I have slept at both ends of town.

I travel like a homeless guy in an SUV with a 90 pound intruder alert system for security. The security system loves to stretch her legs on the beach, so this works well for her too.

San Lucas cove, a few miles south of the pueblo.

Re. Harald's locations, I'd skip the first one (Morro Beach). Heavily used by locals for partying and lots of garbage.

X2 on San Lucas RV Park. There is also a restaurant there as I recall.

Yes, there was:
KM 181.5 San Lucas RV Park, Bahía Restaurant (0.5 mile)

I believe it was only open a few nights or just weekends, but that was in 2017!
Let's see my photos of the two RV parks... oh yes, Sat & Sun 1 to 7 pm:

That's great, I just read the sign on the new photo there with those hours.

Sadly, the Bahia Restaurant got kicked out of San Lucas Cove! Great food the handful of times I've been there.
I always liked Playa Dos Amigos. Great spot! The road going in is in pretty bad shape though.

"I always liked Playa Dos Amigos"

Is that the clam shack out on the point out of San Bruno?

Feet in the sand, with killer mariscos, (almejas rellenas specialty), place on an old school setting on the water.

Direct route was 4x4 only, had to know the 2WD route in, busy on weekends.

Dos Amigos is 5.5 kms. north of San Bruno. It is just off Hwy. 1. See the two photos of the turnoff and palapa, above. It's on San Lucas Cove.
