I read an article about there being a demographic of seniors who just live on cruise ships. They figured out it was cheaper to live on cruise ships,
where the rooms, meals, entertainment, etc, are all included than to pay a mortgage or even if their house was paid off, property taxes, vehicle
insurance, food, home maintenance, utilities, etc. They have developed a network of friends who all do this, too, so they have friends to hang with,
play cards with, etc. And they get to see a lot of different places in the world without having to pay for hotels and flights.
Not something I'd be interested in, but I can see why some people would find it a nice lifestyle. |
