Custom Sailing trips?

I am looking to charter a sail boat with captain for like a week plus or minus a few days out of Cabo or Puerto Vallarta preferably one with a little dingy or kayak to get to shore. Does anyone have any idea where one could begin to look for such an excursion?

Lapazyachtcharters.com
Nice 41’ Morgan outisland with Boston whaler tender
available in La Paz.
Location in Cabo has a couple sailboats.

Dreamyachts out of La Paz. Large selection of boats and great islands and bays are nearby to enjoy. There are very few interesting places to sail to and anchor at near Cabo or PV.

One possibility: J World out of Puerto Vallarta. They do both teaching and charters.

Looking for charters is a fair amount of work. Mostly word of mouth, ask around with people that have chartered. Be careful with charters, getting a skipper with bad personality can ruin your vacation.

I think there are some charter sailboats operating out of La Paz.

Caribbean has a lot more established charters… Mexico, not so much.

The BVI is striving to be the Yacht chartering capitol. I have done 3 bareboat charters there with Sunsail.com The first 2 times we chartered a sloop for just my family and the last time was with 3 other couples and we rented a catamaran. It is the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. It is basically Island Beach Barhopping as you circumnavigate the island of Tortola. The biggest decision you have to make each day is whether to barbeque aboard or take your dingy ashore for dinner. Definitely some of our best vacations. Of course, how can it not be when someone gives you a 41' yacht and says see you in 8 days as they wave goodbye.

They offer Captains or bareboat. There are numerous charter companies there. Sunsail and the Moorings seem to be the most established. Sunsail has a beautiful fleet. I chartered with them 3 times and never had a single issue with their boats or their service.

For power boats there is a good place at Puerto Escondido that has several boats.
