Playas de Tijuana

BJSoccer16 - 5-8-2023 at 12:41 PM

We lived in Playas from 2009-2012. Our travels are taking us there this summer, mostly to hit up the Tito's taco truck. Planning to head downtown for Churros as well and take the kids to El Trompo. Last time we were there it was the normal Cartel on Cartel and Cartel on Police violence. For anyone who lives there what's new in that area?

Also are any of the RV parks in Rosarito and Ensanada worth it or are we better off at the county parks in SD?

I have no comment on the Cartel v Cops issue
And never stayed in a RV park in Baja

We always have our last night "exit" camp at Potrero County Park, across from Tecate.
Great showers
Los of trees and green grass

Easy access
Easier border crossing (hopefully)

That was perfect! Now let's see if anyone has a reply that might actually address the original questions.

There is a new county of San Diego campground in Tijuana river valley:

Looks interesting… also has yurts for lodging.

I know Playas well. There's still some violence but I'd guess less than the years you were going there.

Here's an RV Park about half way between Rosarito and Ensenada.
