Buenos Dias Todos, Mi esposa loves to fish from shore, so any information you’re able to provide would be appreciated. Most notably: pole size, line
strength, hook and sinker size, terminal tackle like small rapalas (I’ve heard that Gulp Bloody Worms are a good replacement for sand crabs). Also,
what species should we plan on targeting in October? Gracias amigos!

My family loved surf fishing... expect to get some the best eating surf varieties there: corbina, croaker (boca dulce), halibut, sea bass...
Frozen squid or a fresh as possible, also grunion (collected during a run and frozen), mussel, and (as you mentioned) sand crabs. Cast just beyond or
even into the breaking waves. These guys eat real close to the beach!

A spinning rod combo with 12Lb line. Small bait hooks and 1/2 oz to 2oz sinkers. Or, small crocodile / castmaster /plastic swim baits and keep your
hands clean. Except from all the fish you'll be catching off the beach at Asuncion. Most important though is having your line wet in low light
conditions. Sunrise/sunset.
