So "Chino" in Spanish means Chinese. But it is also used to refer to someone with curly hair, which I don't get at all, as Chinese have dead straight hair.

In Puerto Rico, an orange is translated China instead of Naranja. The theory behind that is that when oranges were first shipped to the island, they were in crates marked with their country of origin, which was China.
