Here's another angle on it Corky (from Neal Johns)... I stopped there a couple years ago and took a look around.

That used to be an old Baja cathedral, till an asteroid fell from the sky and smashed all but the front portal...right in the middle of the boulder fields...:o

While I'll admit it's a bit irreverent, the second picture at first glance reminded me of one of Baja's famous banos that appears to be in great need of 'relocation'...just my warped sense of vision...:O

Mexray,
Yes, it does seen you have a different vision on life.
I must be different also, I seem to agree with most of your visions.

David K,
You were right on with the location in the e-mail you sent me. Thanks for not revealing it to everyone.

This is a picture of the other La Virgin shrine on the old dirt road as you approach Catavina from El Rosario.

I guess they found another virgin when they built the new (paved) highway and moved her out to the new highway.

Note the date "1950" on top of the rock.

Armenta- Pompano you see the remains of a concrete pad upper right, some canadien friends of ours used to have a house there till it burned down. They then moved to Lopez Mateos and were happy till they started a restaurant without any permits. Needless to say they are no longer in Baja period.

Comitan...you got it.

Pompano - 4-24-2005 at 08:48 AM

I remember when that house was built and when it burned.

How about this place?

Mexray - 4-24-2005 at 10:16 AM

I don't know where it is...but I Want to be there!!!

comitan - 4-24-2005 at 11:08 AM

Well Pompano you got me, but I'm going to take a guess of someplace iv'e never been Bay of Pigs Started out there years ago but got a late start and turned around but I'll make it there someday.

Pompano - 4-24-2005 at 11:31 AM

Comitan...you are a good guesser. San Sebastian it is.....before all the houses were built.

comitan - 4-24-2005 at 11:36 AM

Pompano-- Are you saying I really don't want to go out there now, its all built up. The guess We have been just about everywhere on the gulf side so was a process of elimination-lucky.

Pompano - 4-24-2005 at 12:39 PM

You can go...they just won't let you camp there anymore. It's all private now...reminds me of a Liesure World compound.
