I broke down south of Mulege and got towed to the north side of Loreto. Amazingly, the truck driver arranged for a mechanic to "band aid" my Trooper
so that I could spend the night somewhere else and return in the morning for an alternator repair.
I had to keep my dog on a leash because of all the dogs that surrounded us. I did not want her to hurt any of them, and sure didn't trust her common
sense next to a busy highway!
I commented about the local dogs being blissfully in and out of traffic, and the mechanic told me they were "Perros Carreteros" (sp?).
