My security camera in BC shows 25c in the backyard, along with my neighbors damn cat!

I'm in Loreto now and it's 35c in the shade. Ice cubes are melting fast.

It’s 29C here South of Cerritos next to the Pacific. It’s 32C in Cabo!

One thing I liked about -40 in the north is that you don't need to figure out if it is F or C. That is where the two scales cross!

👍

-40°c and -40°f are also significant because that's a temperature where many machines just don't want to function well. Even whiskey has hardened up. Not to mention #2 diesel.

The coldest actual temperature I ever had to work in was -56 degrees F ! We were building scaffold with weather protection for pipe fitters to change out a valve, and could not use forklifts, hydraulic jacks or anything else that needed lubrication.

Claw hammers, pry bars, and any nails that got bent over broke! We were right next to a heated building, so we would work for 15 minutes or so and then warm up for a half hour.

Ski goggles replaced safety glasses, and multiple layers of everything was the uniform of the day.

That was one expensive scaffold!

P.S. The pipefitters never set foot on the scaffold until it was wrapped in tarps and had heat pouring into it for a few hours.
