You are absolutely correct on your assessment of the Expo.
Jana and I arrived at the pay booth at 9:45, and managed to park real close because of my handicap badge.
The entrance fee was not inexpensive this year...$10.00 for parking, 14.00 for Expo entrance. Beers were $8.00, a small bottle of water $4.00. Average
T-shirt and hat $15.00.
I managed to walk for about 4 hours before I had to sit down. That's about 3 hours longer than I am used to walking on a daily basis with my injuries.
This year's Expo was SOS.
Nothing for FJ Cruisers. Lots of suspension and light exhibits for Jeeps and the small utility vehicles. As a matter of fact, I would say that the
majority of exhibits were geared toward that part of the market. Many SUTs for sale everywhere. Yes they still had the RC cars and the bands playing.
All we managed to come out with that was a deal at 40% off was a high performance air intake for the FJ Cruiser.
All in all, I would give the Expo a C+. And if you wanted to come and see accessories and suspensions for SUTs, an A.

Was it worth the money and effort and putting up with the 100 degree plus heat? We live about 20 minutes from the Pomona Fairgrounds, so it wasn't
that far to drive for me.
Would I make the drive from San Diego?
Probably not!
