I swore by the Moon Baja Handbook in the early- and mid-'80s -- Joe Cummings did a great job! Highly recommended.

Likewise, I thought Joe's work stood out above the other similar types of guides (at the time) when he was producing content for Moon. I believe I even got quoted in regards to that on the back cover of the '98 guide David has here.

My understanding is that Joe had a place in Todos Santos BCS at some point. He later permanently moved to (and still resides in) Thailand, fwiw.

Still available! Purchase of two or more books from oldmissions.com will get a bonus of a late edition Auto Club map (I have some extras of 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2010 [the last edition], some may be worn). Order by Dec. 20 for this deal and to maybe get by Christmas!

All the Moon guides have been invaluable. Most recently I purchased one for the Oaxaca region.
Totally worth the reading.
