Anyone been on the dirt road south of LA Bay toward San Francisquito lately? I’m heading to Animas in a few weeks and want to allow enough time to
arrive before dark.
Thanks
Sam

NORRA 1000 went thru this week. Should be a bit rough but no problem with a decent rig. What are you driving?

I haven't read any concerns on the many Facebook pages I look at daily.
Las Animas is a special location, indeed... I would suggest you use a 4x4.
My camp there, north facing beach past the mangroves, on New Years Eve 2017:

I was at Las Animas in mid-January. I was driving a Honda Element, which is at about the low end of the spectrum for off-road adventures. You should
have no problem if you are driving just about any other 4x4 with soft tires.
I have been in there about a half dozen times, and usually there are few (if any) other campers. This year it was a bit crowded.
