Constitution de 1857 canyons

Has anyone accessed the lower end of the canyons on the east side of Parque Nacional Constitution de 1857 by going up Hwy 5 from San Felipe and turning west in the direction of Ejido Salda?a (Almanac, p. 6, Z-5)?

Those canyons up toward the border (Almanac, p. 2, S-5,6) sound pretty nice from the Adventure book, but they don't say anything about getting into them from the bottom. Maybe to get there it's better to just go all the way up to Hwy 2 and then turn back south at the road for Ca?yon de Guadaloupe, but I'd rather not if I'm coming from San Felipe.

That is a good way to do it from San Felipe. It's about 30 miles to the canyons. You take a right a mile or so before Ejido Jose Saldana, travel north along the west edge of Laguna Salada for a while and then the road turns west to take you to Calabazo Junction at 31 deg 55.75 min, 115 deg 36.24 min. From there you have access to Isabel, Palomar, and others. The road is a little different from shown in the Almanac as it turns more west.
