Been gone so long I had to log in and use a password.
I have been peeking over the fence to see if some sense of decorum would return.
It would seem so...
Great news.
I have been frustrated not getting my oar in the water on occasion.
If things stay civil, then I will be really pleased to see a terrific forum about our favorite place once again be a "community" and not a "pit."
Baja Arriba!!

arriba baja
translation: up with down
it's tired and i'm late
it's the thought that counts and, as everyone knows, translations are like women (here comes the sexism)
the beautiful ones are not faithful;
the faithful ones are not beautiful
up way too late waiting for hubby to arrive home from business trip
buenas noches y que duerman con los angelitos
Bernies right.....

Sharky, you cannot scare someone who lives in Northern California,
We have Raider fans that look worse than that, and they are six years old and in the first grade.
(actually I liked the first face better than the second)
Sharksbaja - 9-14-2005 at 10:06 PM
thats a relief, it made me queezy so...

Take off the patch and remove the hat. Wa La the same Sharky me thinks. By the way Sylens, your saying that women are like golf. Aim right and the
ball goes left, etc. Now I know why men are so frustrated by it. Never have I had to work so hard to put something in the, never mind, I forgot where
I was going.
vandenberg - 9-15-2005 at 09:57 AM
RUNNER
Those Raider fans are more likely 12 years old and in 2nd grade

bajaden - 9-15-2005 at 10:02 AM
Hey, I resemble that remark...
bajalera - 9-15-2005 at 11:00 AM
This thread is civil because the folks who don't seem to have a nice side have captured the Off-Topic Forum. May they rot in peace.

They can have the "off topic" forum......that is what Doug built it for.
Although I've only read a couple of threads, it seems that it just might be "safe" again. Thank the Good Lord!
Safe and unsafe
zforbes - 9-15-2005 at 03:02 PM
Last night I had occasion to reflect on all the posting I have been doing lately on off-topic, so I went to check my percentage there. It seems not
such a good thing to me to have the majority of your posts in off-topic, especially when it is a dump and run site. Aaahhh, but...I said to
myself....what if the off topic posts started to be a little more kind and respectful? Would it still be such a bad thing to be one of the big
posters? Off topic can mean lots more things than political rants...what do others think?
Natalie Ann - 9-15-2005 at 03:20 PM
Zoe - Off topic can mean lots more things than politics, you're right. Enlightening topics like the one I posted today regarding the underpants
boy.

While you're being nice over there (and it does need some niceness), I'm going to see if I can't find some nice photos to post over here.
bajajudy - 9-15-2005 at 04:15 PM
You go, Nena.
We are all waiting for some of your beautiful photos.
I looked for a panting head but could only find a nodding one. So it will have to do.

I think sometimes the off topic forum gets a bad rap. I enjoy and learn from it in most cases---and--- it does keep the General Discussion more user
friendly. An example---I never knew some guys enjoyed wearing 'unmentionables' ( hows that for an old word) on their heads.
Again, very pleased that the Baja Ladies are becoming more vocal on all of the forums.
thebajarunner - 9-15-2005 at 04:41 PM
Off Topic???
I went there once....
(and that was enuff)
Don Jorge - 9-15-2005 at 05:10 PM
Welcome back!
Now where's Mexitron the botanist?
Tucker - 9-15-2005 at 05:21 PM
He was last active 5/18/2005.
David K - 9-15-2005 at 05:36 PM
Here is a photo of Taco de Baja, Huddo, Mexitron, and Pappy taken in April, 2004 at the mouth of Parral Canyon after they finished the climb to Mision
San Pedro Martir, with Jack Swords. Perhaps Taco de Baja knows why Mexitron has been quiet?

Another Nomad who has been gone awhile is Markitos... I went sailing with him out of Dana Point a year ago (?) and he was heading to La Paz and beyond
soon after that...
bajajudy - 9-16-2005 at 06:54 AM
DK
Although I dont know any of the people in your picture, I do remember a post by an anonymous that was signed Markitos about a week ago.
David K - 9-16-2005 at 08:20 AM
Thanks Judy... using the great search engine here, I found it.... Hey Markitos, when you coming back or won't heaven (Baja) let you go?:

Last time out sailing the islands, we where boarded by the island conservation group. Whoooa! they didnt ask for our fishing and boating papers. They
just wanted some money to go onshore. But I will tell ya being offshore and being boarded by anyone will make ya keep your paper work in order.
Markitos
bajalera - 9-16-2005 at 12:34 PM
Bernie, you're such a nice guy! What gives the Off-Topic bully boys the bad rap is not their opinions, it's that they call any Nomad who disagrees
with those opinions an ignorant a*shole or a stupid kook or whatever.
